Daniel Parra

Daniel, born in N.Hollywood, CA, began singing at age 5 by way of his parents teachings. The first song he learned was "Can't Help It" by Michael Jackson. Ever since, Daniel has honed his soulful voice by listening to many different artists and copying their voices until he was able to find his own "niche". After years of struggling to get his voice heard through groups, Daniel finally decided to go solo and from that point, found his love for story-telling. After a few years and efforts, Daniel became saved & baptized in the Lord, and made the decision to do Gospel/R&B. In his words, "If I'm going to thank the Lord for my talents, I should do my best to make Him proud." Daniel is now striving to be heard by the masses so that he can be able to deliver God's word by praising Him as well as praising His truth about what love is and how to manage it.

Right now, I sing only in church. But once my project is complete, then I'll be on the search for the right venues.

My influences would be Prince and Stevie Wonder to Kirk Frnaklin, Donnie McClurkin, Deitrick Haddon and Maxwell. The biggest influence is God.

I would like people to see me as a Gospel singer. Not just as a Latin singer. To see my face and see my name can't tell you what I'm like. You will not know what to expect from me because I'm not the typical "brown guy". Even though I am very proud to be Latin, I was raised around different styles, people and traditions. I just chose what felt most comfortable for me.
