Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Damone is a musician/singer/songwriter/producer who has been involved with music in one way or another for around fifteen years now. From playing in school bands to traveling around the worl in Up With People, he has continued to expand his musical horizons and been molded into the talented, versatile artist he is today. Most recently, performing in gospel groups as well as creating hot tracks for various rap and hip-hop groups in the Las Vegas area, he has proven that the world is ready to receive his tight, polished sound.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
"I performed live regularly with a former band in Las Vegas about two years ago. No shows since, though."
Your musical influences
"I think Stevie Wonder is one of the greatest musicians of all time of course, but I also love Jodeci, Alicia Keys, Gerald Levert, Ruff Endz, Brian Mcknight, Avant, ... so many!"
What equipment do you use?
"I make my midi tracks in FruityLoops or Cakewalk's Pro Audio, (yes, I still use it!) and I do my audio recording in Cubase SX or Pro Audio. Mixing and mastering I can also handle with Cubase, but I might do some touch ups or record certain things in WaveLab or SoundForge if I want a very specific sound or feel."
Anything else?
I welcome ALL feedback. People have been encouraging me to release my music to the public for a long time, but music has always been my personal hobby and I've enjoyed keeping it that way. If anyone out there feels I should share my hobby with the world, let me know. I just might, you never know.
