Dale Hopkins has been a professional fiddle player for 33 years. He's played on thousands of recording, and just recently finished his first CD.
Dale was Missouri State Champion for three years, and 7th in the nation in the 'International Fiddlers Contest'. He's played most shows in Branson Mo. and Nashville playing with the country singers. His first really good job was with Mary Lou Turner, and then George Jones for a couple of years. Waylon, Mel McDaniels, Johnny Paycheck, and Ray Stevens, just to name a few. Now he mostly works the recording studios and works a few shows a month. This first-time CD project took over a year to complete, and he uses Ferral Stole on Dobro, possibly the best in the world, Kent Coffee from Arkansas doing the flat picking, and World Renown Brad Edwards on the steel, and guitar. Shelley Smith on the upright bass, and Dan Schisler on Keys, and Dusty Wilson on the drums! Some of the tunes are ole' time fiddle, and some are electric. Dale wrote three of the songs that are on this CD. The Hoedown From Hell, Cassidy Rose Waltz, and Bodines Waltz.
Not only is Dale Hopkins a fiddler with a long history playing with well known artists, but he also produces music of all types for Audio Loft Studios (see intro page) located in Macks Creek, Missouri. He also co-owns Nearly Famous Records, and Cedar Bluff Publishing Co. This CD has something for everyone on it. Gospel, Bluegrass, Waltzes.
