Dakesh Productions is an audio production service for the music, radio, and film industries. On this site we are featuring some audio clips by chief producer Dan Sheehan. These clips are all recorded and produced by Dan, who is also an instructor at Bergen Community College and the City University of New York.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Dan Sheehan started playing guitar as a teen and played in various bands over the years, most notably BANTER and The Dan Sheehan Conspiracy. In the late 90s Sheehan entered the field of audio production as a sideline and now runs Dakesh Productions Studio in Queens, NY. Dakesh provides music recording, voiceover recording and audio post production services.
As an engineer, Dan has worked with the Stereophonics, Macy Gray, Durga Krishnan (S. Indian veena player), Norman Pinksy (U.S. Poet Laureate), grammy-nominated composer Michael Moss, and a host of others.
Dan has taught at various audio schools in the New York, New Jersey, and Boston.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Dan performs live as a rock artist, both solo and with his group, The Dan Sheehan Conspiracy. He previously was the frontman for the alternative rock band, Banter.
