Hey Doc (Guy),
Thanks for dropping by and taking a listen. Yeah my songs tend to lean toward sad themes even though I don't start out to write sad songs. I'm uploading a ghost track of where my song "choices" original starting point was and how it ended up. Quite a change.
Listened to your music and they are really good. Instruments are well played and recorded. I particularly liked "come to me" and "what waits for us" somewhat made me think...Paul Simon. Don't know why.
Anyway thanks again for dropping by,
Paul

I am part of Battle of the bands at Red's here in Edmonton Alberta and I need as many ONLINE votes as I possibly can so that I can perform in the Battle of the bands. Online voting starts at 12:01 June 6th 2005 so if you could vote for me that would be great. You have all heard my music before so if you could help me out Id really really appreciate it :) thanks so much

Hi, I'm Alex Borges, the singer of the musical project "Union Jacket". Thx for dropping a message at our board. First I would like to congratulate you for your music, is amazing. I like "Lovers on the town", "Set me free" and "Come to me". "Come to me" is very well produced and the bass is a big hook in the song. It maintains a good mood. I listened to it like 4 times in a row. Reminded me of Tears for Fears and U2 a little bit, bands I like too. And is curious we made dif songs with the same title.
I know you pointed out some opinions in our message board and you are right about these little details. But the guitar is not midi controlled, is a real Gibson acoustic. The 'Iglesias' accent you notice is because my first language is Spanish, def I have an accent, LOL. The other thing is that we made our demo by distance, I’m in P.R. and Dave is in U.K., at the same time we have completely dif studios settings. I made Union Jacket because I see Dave Meredith as a great musician and fri

The gift of music is ones own - it is in you. When it plays along with the gift in others then it gains a strength greater than it's component parts.
When i have given gifts i do not expect (nor get) a repeating litany of how great i am or how great the gift is.
G-d is in how you live your life, not in what you proclaim to others. Showing people the light doesn't necessarily mean that they see the light and be careful that in your declaration of your undying adoration that one of the seven deadlies doesn't raise it's ugly head.
Peace be with you

Thank you for the kind words.
The "gift" is to be shared liberally;some will appreciate it some will not, but the Word of God does not return void, but will accomplish that witch it was meant to do!......Amen

Thanks for calling by,
Listened to your songs and I'm impressed with your clever lyrics, original sound, the good musicians around you, and the production.
"Not like we're in love" is my favorite, quite jazzy, and your great vocals show clearly in "Lovers on the town".
I'd love to see the lyrics posted!!
Carol.

Eh, (munch-munch-munch) what's up, Doc? I saw everybody on your message board raving about "Heading South" so I thought I'd give it a listen. I find myself forced to give it a Hot vote. Very good ballad-style stuff! It wouldn't fit into the Christian music scheme, though. I'm teasin' ya. I do all the arrangements and all the instruments for John Worsley, had to razz you a little over your comment. Nobody's offended, we like honesty. And we find your music to be of superb quality! I do agree it's not necessary to make every tune a gospel ode, and if you'll pay a visit to the SW page you'll find that's the case. John gets his spiritual side out in his tunes and then there are mine, which I guess you'd just have to call quirky. I do have one in a spiritual vein, but I address issues of all sorts. As I see you do. We both wish you much success.
I have not written anything for a long time. Well I have taken my music in a new direction and well I was wondering if you could take a good listen to my song WANT ME TO BE and give me your honest critique of my clipping. Its only 1 minute sample But I would love to hear what you think. Thanks Jenae
