Crossroads (Rhode Island)

We're all friends...we've played together in bands for the past quarter century, and we've now come together for the purpose of creating all original rock and roll...or, as we like to call it, "Tomorrow's Classic Rock" We started off as four guys with a desire to keep the original creativity alive, and now we've just expanded to six. We're looking forward to the evolution of the sound as we begin crafting tunes for the third album. Hope you enjoy our music!
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Ed and Al played in a country based original band with Tubby for years...Ed and Al and Steve also played in an all original rock band (BATW) with Bob for many years...the common denominator between both bands was that the music was all original, and wasn't cubbyholed into just one style. There was (and still is) a lot of musical diversity from track to track. Steve met Sean in a cover band project he was working on, and they're now adding a new dimension to our work.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We don't have any plans to play live - at our age, moving gear from venue to venue is a thing of the past, thanks. We'll just do a "Steely Dan", and continue writing and recording new music. On the other hand, offer us a lucrative enough contract, full road crew, and lifetime membership to AARP, and we'll talk...
Your musical influences
The Beatles...Pink Floyd (mainly the post Waters/Gilmour led era)...The Who...Led Zeppelin...Cream...I think you're getting the gist of it...call it Classic Rock, I suppose.
What equipment do you use?
Tascam 2488 is the heart of our recording rig, along with assorted outboard processing gear. Add 5 or 6 guitars, the bass, keys, Al's harp, and Steve's drums, and a mike or two, and that'll do it.
