Crooked Creek
We're just a group of guys that wanted to play music for the music. We're doing 90% original material. We're not in it for the glory or the money. Been there, done that, flopped at it... Got sick of playin Skynard and Nugent tunes day in and day out. (Not that there's anything wrong with em)
Now we're just looking at playin local open mics or small clubs just for the fun of it. If we make a few bucks in the process so much the better!
At the moment we're bassless, and overdubbing the bass line in while mixing, but hoping to remedy that in the near future. In the mean time, we're just havin a blast makin some noise.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Short and sweet. We've been together about 3 months now. Started as a basement/garage band and still are.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Not yet. Still workin up enough material.
Your musical influences
Hendrix, SRV, John Lee Hooker, The Bodeans, The Hooters, Santana, and probably just about everything else any of us have ever heard.
What equipment do you use?
Fender, Pignose, and at the moment a 30 year old Ludwig 5 piece that plays like a bunch of cardboard boxes.
Anything else?
ANYTHING!!
