Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
In the early years, there was no Crippled Billy. The band was called BLOBSCAW. Founded in 1998 as a cover band to play at a wedding, the band soon switched to louder music, creating their own songs.
Many line-up changes later, Blobscaw was changed into Crippled Billy (2001). It still is today. The line-up has remained the same ever since. 3 friends, 3 rock fans, 3 freaks.
Crippled Billy is :
Kris The Animal Van Opstaele : Hitting the Drums and percussion
Dirk Slayer Vanhuylenbroek : Playing the Electric and Acoustic Guitars
Hans Foreplay Engels : On the bass and screaming @ the mic pointed @ his grill
Crippled Billy is a mix of musical influences, varying from Death Metal, Speed Metal, Metal, to Hard Rock, Rock and even Pop Music.
In 2002, Crippled Billy recorded their first full demo CD “Body Noises” @ their rehearsal room. In 2005, a second full demo CD “The Joker” was recorded @ Second Test Recording.
Recently they recorded an new demo : Music Alley Metal Sessions, which they are very proud of !!
Crippled Billy stands for loud and heavy music with lots of beer and even more fun.

Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
YES, we play live, and of course we love it !! The gig we did in Leuven at a guys birthday party was fabulous !!
