Recorded with a Les Paul copy, an Ibanez SM7 Smash Box ditortion pedal and an old Meteoro RX100 (SS brazilian amp). Mic'ed with a GPA GM570. Only effect added was compression during the mix. Messed up during the clean part and was too lazy to fix it.

Done with a modded Boss MT-2 Metal Zone, plugged into a Behringer Ultra-G direct box, with a 4x12' cab simulation.
Test 1 Test 1
Used a Les Paul copy w/ a SD Invader on the bridge thru a Marshall MG100DFX. Mic'ed with a POS mic, passing the signal thru a Boss GE-7, then into the computer. Mic was close to the grill, slightly off axis, pointing to the center of the spkr.

Same as above, but with the mic pointing to the edge of the speaker. Big changes on the sound on this clip.

Recorded using a Les Paul copy plugged into a Marshall MG100DFX 1x12' combo. Used the Emulated Line Out from the amp direct into the soundcard of my computer.

Recorded using a Les Paul copy thru a Meteoro Vulcano 212. Took the signal from the 'Pre Out' to a Behringr Ultra-G DI Box with 4x12' cab sim plugged direct into my computer. I recorded just the guitar. The rest is from a backing track.
