Crimes Against Humanity

Heavy Metal Music | 2 tracks and 199 streams.

A heavy/thrash UK metal band that has been around for a year. Takes political and socially aware concepts in the lyrics, as well as other things. A fresh revival of the thrash that we all thought died, Crimes Against Humanity are a band of chugging riffs, string-searing solos, and plenty of politically-fueled angst.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The band that was to become C.A.H. began off as a 2-piece rock band called the Blunts, consisting of band members Will Harris (guitar) and Ali Pryce (bass). After originally adopting Ross Palmer as a singer, Ross eventually picked up drums, and stepped down from the mike and onto his stool. Officially formed in late November 2003, Crimes Against Humanity started writing their first song at The Marches School, Oswestry, however did not decide on an official name until early 2004. The song was very different from the Blunts stuff, a thrash metal song. But from that point onwards the band decided that metal was the way to go, and history was made.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Most played venue is the Ex-Serviceman's Club in Oswestry, we always get a good crowd response, but have played relatively few gigs, about 5 or 6.
Your musical influences
Several different musical influences, mainly Pantera, Metallica, Megadeth and Slayer, but also Tool and Rage Against The Machine. From chugging riffs all the way to speed metal melodies, Crimes Against Humanity is a pure, fresh revival of the thrash we once knew.
What equipment do you use?
Ross has a custom kit, and is always upgrading it. Will uses a Jackson Kelly KE3 Pro through a Boss MT-2 into a Marshall half-stack. Ali uses his Vintage V900 through a Nobels bass amp.
Anything else?
