I just like to play the guitar. The guitar has a beautiful tone and is very expressive. I look forward to spending time with my guitar. It always leaves me feeling refreshed. Maybe it's a form of meditation for me. Maybe it's the way I worship. Or the way I pray. It's very personal. My first love.Band/artist history
Well, there really is no band, just me. So...
I grew up in the backwoods in a dysfunctional family. We were poor and life was hard. Musical talent was evident at a very early age. I was playing and singing folk songs while still in diapers on a yellow plastic toy guitar. It wouldn't hold a tune cause it had little plastic pegs in little plastic holes. Just wouldn't hold. I was eight before I got a real guitar. The Ozark National Forest and my guitar were my escape from reality. Since then, my guitar and I have gone through a lot of things together.Have you performed in front of an audience?Well, I don't play dead. LOL Yes, I actually play live and in person but most usually only at home. I have played before an audience on occasion and a few times on stage but I prefer the privacy of my home. I love to play but as I get older my energy is sapped by work and responsibilities. I have a very demanding job that leaves nothing for anything else. I think I'll quit.
Your musical influences
Early childhood influences were country and gospel, not by choice but that's what the adults listened to.
Pre-adolesence, rock and roll begining with the Beatles. I remember watching them get off the plane on the news. And I watched them on the Ed Sullivan show. I wasn't screeming and pulling my hair but I was enthralled.
Teen-age, Southern rock and I began developing an interest in blues and classical guitar.
Then I went through a stage where I listened to everything. I suscribed to every guitar mag there was and bought all the records/cassettes. My bedroom was a recording studio.
Now I'm back to the basics, just my guitar and me. There is something very intimate about that. What equipment do you use?
I have a Yamaha classical guitar. I record on my computer using Audacity, a free, open-source program. It's easy to use.Anything else?
Just want to say hi to everybody. Please, leave a message on the board and let me know where I can hear your music. All comments (2)

I've been away awhile. Long story. I started some lyrics and melody. I feel my guitar calling me. Maybe she has something say.
