Thanks for stopping by my edge of the universe. Creating music seems to be the one thing that electrifies and drives me to reach that next dimension of expression. My journey embarked many years ago in search of becoming the masterful wizard of electro-funk keys, along with my side-arm flava companion trumpetz. Along the way some tunes were birthed and created, samplings are parked on this site for your exclusive listening pleasure. My work zone, Dasharound Studios, was established to stimulate, create and proclamate a kaleidoscope of transitional music ideas. Always learning, always exploring, give a lot and receive some back.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Currently, for the moment, right now...........Tour with the PIZAZZ Band based out of Roxboro, NC. www.thepizzazband.net for a look at one the premiere bands on the east coast. Way back in the day, toured with Johnny White and the Elite band, based out of Durham, NC. Great Funk Band. Also participated with the Landon Spradlin Blues Band out of VA. Great blues band, was great to jam with them, representing the state of NC at the 2009 International Blues Competition in Memphis, TN.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Play Live every chance I get. Live is what it's all about. Puts your music right in everyone's face.
Your musical influences
Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea are a few. Always listened to the masters, Art Tatum, Erroll Garner, McCoy Tyner, Ramsey Lewis, Bill Evans, these guys show you everything you need to know. (Don't forget George Duke) Seriously, Herbie's voicing and chord structures are amazing, and Bill Evans was so smooth and clean, they bring the house down everytime.
What equipment do you use?
Roland, CME, Korg, MOTU, Echoaudio, Cakewalk Sonar, Tons of Virtual Instruments and soft synths.
Anything else?
Music is my passion..........once you figure that out, life gets easier. (Think about it)
