Band/artist history
Paddy Stratton began his journey in 1972 playing in folk clubs, then in a succession of bands through the seventies & eighties playing everything from country, jazz rock, reggae & new wave. Some success in the eighties with Track 21, Junior C Reaction & the cult band The Horizontal Rock Stars. Since the nineties Paddy has been an established writer & solo performer, a long time collaborator with The Levellers, writing four of their tracks + gigging with the Leveller's Simon Friend. Paddy is now working with poet storyteller, John Row, in an abstract travelling political revue called Serious Times who are releasing their Debut CD in Texas, May 2007. Coyote Wrecks is Paddy’s newly formed band with Billy Fleming who has worked with the late Paul Sampson (Egypt, Girlsschool & Hawkwind) & will debut a CD at the Hawkfest in June. He has also recently collaborated on a track with David Collins called “Turning The Wheel”. Much more to come so keep posted!! I play and own 4,5, and 6-string bass guitars, and am proficient with pick, fingers, slap and tap. I use Jackson, Ibanez, Warwick and Dean basses, along with two U.S handbuilts. I play through Peavey and Yamaha bass rigs, along with a dash of effects pedals and a Line 6 Bass Pod when necessary. I have played extensively throughout the UK, and have recently recorded a live session for Radio 1.
