Born in 1935, Paul Thompson began playing the guitar at age 12. He wrote his own songs; both the words and music and began playing clubs, rodeos and fairs in Texas and Louisiana in 1955. Several 45's were recorded over the years and in 1985 his album 'Home Grown Country' was recorded on cassette in a Tyler, Texas studio. Efforts were made to promote this album when in 1995 catastrophic health problems ended all hopes for a career, but not his love of country music. Now you can enjoy this 80's...

I have been playing, singing and writing country music for over 30 years. I have performed literally 'all over the world'. I served 22 years in the U S ARMY and enjoyed keeping my fellow service members entertained from time to time between our REAL missions. I was part of the Army Soldier Show in 1992 and even composed 2 songs for the world touring show. I am now retired from service and mainly perform solo in the DC/MD/VA area.
