Coughing Daisies

Kristian Welch - lead vocals, rhythm guitar Kevin Allan - lead guitar Steven Beattie - bass, vocals Wayne Atkinson - drums, vocals Coughing Daisies are a four-piece original rock band from North East England. Formed in Autumn 2003, each of the band members immediately brought their own individual influence to the line-up, ranging from the raw uncompromising noise of early Nirvana and Foo Fighters to the more mellow sounds of Stone Roses and Bob Dylan. This fusion of varying musical tastes proved to be an interesting formula and the band began to write music at an alarming rate and in a style that they could call their own.

We play live as often as possible. So far we've been confined to the North East but we hope to venture further afield. We are still trying to hone and define our stage presence. Of course there's been bad gigs and good gigs, but so far, more good than bad.

The band has been formed from different inspirations right across the board. Our collective inspirations are as diverse as Foo Fighters and Bob Dylan. Our music is a bit of a mix. Quite mellow in parts with a guitar shredding edge.
