Cortez Martin, formerly known as Big Tez, a voice for the Urban Community, is a Hip Hop Artist based out of the Midwest Region (Detroit, Michigan). Referred to as a mogul from most of his listeners, Cortez Martin has a style that is comparable to the likes of Wale and Kanye West, yet has a unique twist. Cortez Martin has tremendous energy that is reflected through his work in the studio and stage presence. Starting in 2003, Cortez Martin has performed in over 100 venues including the Majestic Theatre (Detroit, MI), Cobo Hall (Detroit, MI), Hart Plaza (Detroit, MI), Millennium Center (Southfield, MI). He has also had the opportunity to work with some of Detroits Hip Hop producers such as Black Bethoven, Kyronic Music, and Matthew Hughes. Cortez Martin first single released under Big Tez, was entitled Lost In You featuring Lovesong which aired on Cover Me Radio, an Internet radio station based out of St. Louis, Missouri. Lost In You went into rotation receiving an average of 4 spins a day consistently for about one month. For the year 2010, Cortez Martin is preparing for the release of his as well as working towards expanding his fan base by utilizing web services and the possibilities of a Promotion Tour.

"I perform anywhere I can get my feet planted on in front 1 person or 10,000 it dont matter to me I love this. My most memorable moment was probably having a represenative approach me with possible recording agreement but I slipped and never did a follow up"

"Wiz Khalifa, Drake, Wlae, Kanye West, and just those who have had much success in the music industry during their up and down times"
What equipment do you use?
"Anything that will get the job done and done right. The songs that are currently up were songs that were done not knowing but gets one hell of a response so I added them just until I contact the right team"
