Cornered
well, our band is called Cornered. We make a wide range of different styles, variating from emo to deathmetal/hardcore, and the 3 combined. The best box it'll fit in is the term new metal, but you'll have to it find out, and listen to it yourself to get the best flavour.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
We aren't sure when the band was formed, but I think it was around september 2002. We all came from a previous band named Encroach, except for the bassist, who was hard to get. I started singing, we kicked the singer from encroach out of the band, and changed our name into Cornered. We never made any covers, it is all about making our own music, wich changed from Gothic metal (Encroach) to new metal (Cornered)
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes, we mostly arrange our own gigs. They meanly take place in cultural centers, pubs, festivals etc. And it's the best feeling in the world to be on stage!
Your musical influences
Mudvayne, lamb of god, brainshake, limp biskit, braking benjamin. This is to name a view, but there are a whole lot of influences from all kinds of bands into our music, so you'll have to listen to it yourself.
What equipment do you use?
a sure mic, a huge JBL groundspeaker, ludwich drumkit, line six 4x12 inch guitaramp, an ibanez (don't know the serie), hartke 150 watt bassamp,
And I don't know wich bass our bassist plays on.
Anything else?
I only can give you one piece of advice, just listen to the music (feedback is always appriciated) (ow, and don't mind my english, I'm from Holland :)
