Hip-Hop Music | 2 tracks and 61 streams.

The Cooperative Dialects are a 3 man Hip Hop crew from Stockport UK, who try and stick to the basic principles of Hip Hop, mainly - beats, samples & rhymes. Most of the tracks are produced by Mr Munch utilising a big old stack of records (he has over 4000 at last count) a beaten up old sampler (which crashes a lot and has a few broken buttons), an Atari ST (which crashes equally as much) and a Roland VS840 multi track (which actually works quite well only crashed once) whilst rhymes are provided by Crossword & The Hermit BA . So how did it all begin? Well, Mr Munch met Crossword at Primary school in 1982 and then lost contact as they went on to different secondary schools. Hermit BA & Mr Munch met at secondary school where they both developed their love of hip hop unaware that Crossword was following the same path elsewhere. Finally united in 1992 they began dabbling in the production of Hip Hop (basic pause loops etc) and the cooperative dialects were born although unnamed at this stage. After a brief 7 year split in which Crossword got married, moved to the USA, got divorced, came back to the UK, the three friends have continued to do what they love which is Hip Hop. Today all three members are about to turn 30, putting on a bit of weight and losing their hair but still crank out the odd track or two at the weekend whilst enjoying a few beers. With plans of updating their studio and working on an EP (another one) the Cooperative Dialects are far from over so keep your ears peeled
