Peter Hutton (Myself) and William Pilling tried as a band at first but just progressed into a duo. Both of us sing and both of us play guitar.
I've been writing music since I was fifteen and rather than looking for a perfect sound or a perfect look within music, I take myself to a different place, a different dimension if you will where i'm effected only by spirits and energies that run through me. Will is a fantastic vocalist and musician who has fast become a valued friend of mine and have also steered him from seeing music in a genre-ised fashion and in doing so he thanks me for helping him see music as a language and a life force rather than something you listen to because its expected of you.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
We started a few years ago and it was Will, myself and, my best friend since I was 2 years old, Joe who played bass. The chemistry between all of us wasn't really there but I think we were all a bit imature as musicians. Me and Joe decided that we'd do our own music project and Will and I formed Conversate also. Hopefully in the summer, the three of us will reunite as a band again as all three of us have come a long way. So there maybe a new band page soon. Thats it really, we wont be able to write a biography just yet.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We are yet to play live although we cant wait to. Music is a beautifull force and you can encouter many different energies and ghosts when playing. And a live event is filled with even more of those so theres no telling what you'll come across at a live show. The only special moments i have is watching live bands because you get such a distant feeling from your self-conciousness its un-real.
Your musical influences
My influences spread across the board so i'm just going to list them: Red hot chili peppers, John Frusciante, Slipknot, Metallica, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Beethoven, JS Bach, Eric Clapton, Eminem.
As for Will the only one I know of is Blink 182. Although he has recently found Cory Taylor's (slipknot) vocal range an inspiration.
What equipment do you use?
Fender Telecaster, Fender Encore, Tanglewood Sundance, Marshall Amps, Korg pedals, Tascam DP-01 8 track.
Anything else?
