Convergent Vision

Convergent Vision is about fusion, fusion of jazz, classical and electronica.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
My serious attempt to get music onto the net started when I acquired my Korg Triton in 2000, and then got Cubase in 2001. I joined mp3.com sahortly after and had my first online CD sales in late 2002.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Not generally. My music is often the result of many months of compositional work. So I put most of my energy into composing and perfecting the sound in my home studio.
Your musical influences
Classically, my influences include composers like Beethoven who had a strong sense of form. Sonata form is an important organizing principle for me. Jazz fusion artists like Miles Davis, and jazz/funk in general, are also influences. In terms of Electronica, artists like the Chemical Brothers and Emerson Lake & Palmer have provided inspiration.
What equipment do you use?
I play a Korg Triton proX, and use Cubase as my MIDI software.
