contemplation rocks
Contemplation was spawned out of the boredom of small town America. We are a melodic/aggressive rock band with female vocals.

Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The band started with vocals and guitarist Peggy, and bassist Will. They wrote songs together for about two years, playing shows now and then, while drummers came and went. (Why is it so hard to find a drummer?)
While playing shows, they met Mikey (drummer) and Dustin (now our bassist), and started jamming with them. Will started playing guitar at this point, and the music took on a whole different sound.
They cut out most of their old set,and started writing music together. The sound evolved into a heavier, more involved agressive rock sound.
The process of writing the music has been done by everyone in the band. We work together, and have fun while doing it.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Contemplation has played live shows in our hometown-surrounding areas on the Olympic Peninsula. We are taking small steps towards playing larger venues, and have scheduled shows coming up that are Seattle-local.
The best thing about playing live is the audience, when you see emotion coming from the crowd. Then you know you've done your job.
The oddest moment for us was when Will and I (Peggy) was scheduled to play a show and our drummer didn't show. Someone brought us a couple of accoustic guitars and we played an un-plugged set. It taught us that you have to be prepared for anything.
Your musical influences
We are all very different in our influences. Peggy likes Rancid,The pixies,Ani Difranco, Will like AFI,Hoobastank, New Found Glory.
Dustin likes Nirvana.We're not sure what else
because he won't answer his phone...
Mikey likes Dead Kennedys, Man without Plan,The Cramps.
We enjoy the build-up and deliverance of rock music.
