The band R me. All compositions by Conan the Jazzarian except as noted. Hey, I'm just a high speed jazz guitar hack. Somehow I got suckered into this composition and production nonsense :) Someone shoot me, I started singing too, on the rock songs. Now that I've started singing, I suspect more than 6 people will notice me.
Band/artist history
Well I'd like to make some history, as opposed to being history.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Not if I can help it. That's why I went to college instead of music school.
Your musical influences
Wes Montgomery, Howard Roberts, George Benson, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Peter Bernstein, Jimmy Bruno, Kenny Burrell John Tropea, Pat Metheny, Pat Martino, Jay Graydon, Graham Dechter, Frank Vignola, Ted Greene, Robben Ford, Larry Carlton , Santana (20th century), John McLaughlin, Hiram Bullock, Duane Allman, Dickey Betts, Alan Holdsworth Brian Auger, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Herbie Hancock, McCoy Tyner, Wynton Kelly, Sergio Mendes, Joey DeFrancesco, Mike Brecker, David Sanborn, Eumir Deodato, Freddie Hubbard, Clifford Brown, Miles, Coltrane, Charlie Parker, Jean Luc Ponty, Billy Cobham, Philly Joe Jones, Grady Tate, Lee Morgan..........ELP, PFM, YES
What equipment do you use?
Various Gibson, PRS, Fender, Hamer, Taylor, Eastman, Cort etc guitars and basses. Various tube amps from Redplate, Fuchs, Mesa Boogie, Fender. Fickle me has ditched the modelers, Line 6 Hx Stomp and Fractal Audio FM3. Going back to good old analog for amplification. I recently bought an Effectrode Blackbird and a few Chinese amp pedals, along with an SPL Tonehunter speaker emulator/loadbox, which sounds incredible paired with my RedPlate Blackverb amp. I use a stereo CabZeus for speaker simulation with pedals. For music production, I highly recommend ToonTrack and Native Instruments.
Anything else?
As Stephen Colbert recently described American Election Day as viewed by the rest of the world: "Hey Americans are about to do something stupid again. Let's watch."
