The Commension: “The Life”
From the hoods of Brooklyn New York we find Skyler Price and Kraig Jennette. Officially BK’s finest raised in different areas yet experiencing many of the same trials, tribulations of our young Brooklyn men struggling to find self and fulfillment in a society enthralled by Hip Hop but yet appalled by the roots of our Hip Hop culture.
Kraig was raised by a single mother and as the oldest of three siblings attempted to set an example. But, he ended up bouncing high school to high school and through those and other negative influences he learned the wrong lessons in which led him the wrong way. This criminal life distracted him from the pursuit of is dream of playing basketball. But despite the “life” he managed to overcome the negativity and obtain his diploma and take college courses. This perseverance on his part led him to Tuco league for basketball but once again the distractions in is life of the “life” overcame him and instead of being on a basketball court he was in a court room.
Skyler Price along with his younger brother had the luxury of being raised by both parents but their mother was stronger influence in their lives. Skyler was stubborn and addicted to his own form of negative “life” the “fast life”. After surviving two separate near death shooting incidents he attempted to invert his negatives into positives and pursue Hip Hop as a vehicle to express and share his life experiences. Despite a reinvigorated focus he still fell back into the “life” and also found himself courtroom facing down an eight to twenty five years prison and did several months on lock but was given a second chance.
The Commension: “The Coming”
Now we have Skyler Price Professionally known as Tadow Blicker and Kraig Jennette p.k.a. Prince Charming together collectively and professionally known as the “Commension”. Based in Brooklyn NY continuing to encounter the everyday struggles of our young men yet determined to find self in a society enthralled by Hip Hop but yet appalled by aspects of our Hip Hop culture. Expressing the short comings, mishaps, victories, fantasies and setbacks through the love for hip hop! Shouting the slogan “Militant Minds” which represents discipline, strength and action through music, through lyrics and through songs.check out drk he's from shoalin ill mc holla backYeah man.
