My real name's Matt. I'm learning some aspects of scratching and turntablism; I've been at it for a few months. I hope to become good enough to audition for gigs or join a band.Have you performed in front of an audience?In my bedroom.
Your musical influences
I'm mostly influenced by a lot of famous scratch DJ's, such as the X-Ecutioners, Yoga Frog, D-Styles, Jazzy Jeff, and of course the grandmaster Q-Bert.
I enjoy listening to hip-hop (mostly pre-90's rap crap) like Jurassic 5 and Linkin Park.What equipment do you use?
Technics/Vestax turntables, Rane TTM-56 mixer, Shure M44-7 needles, Sony MDRV-700 remix headphones.
Oh yeah, my turntables are also on this flimsy-ass card table...so when I try to scratch, my needle keeps skipping into the next groove...very annoying!Admin
