Coincidence Theory (CT) is a solo entity: one person arranges and/or composes, performs and records the music. All songs are recorded and mixed at home.
Band/artist history
Coincidence Theory is actually the second incarnation of my solo act -- I began using the name in 2001, after the previous name I'd chosen turned out to be not so original. I have composed music intermittently since 1991, and started playing the guitar in 1993.
Your musical influences
This is always a tough question to answer because I always feel like I'm leaving something out. Many have left an impression, whether conscious or not. Among the conscious: jazz fusion, bossa nova, tango, '20s-'30s jazz/dance band music, film scores, alt-country, pop, a lot of acoustic music...
When you listen to my music, you'll hear a predominance of acoustic arrangements in a folk, singer/songwriter style: vocals, harmony vocals, and acoustic guitars. Every so often you'll hear electric guitars, percussion, and even digital and analog synths.
What equipment do you use?
Instrumentation: acoustic, classical & electric guitars, digital and analog synthesizers, percussion.
Recording: analog four-track, digital multi-track, all recorded and/or mixed onto a PC. MP3 compression by Lame. Ogg Vorbis format songs are available at the official Coincidence Theory site.
Anything else?

Thanks very much for your post, cpatch! Hope to post some new material later this summer.
Beautiful arrangement and vocals! This one goes on my iPod.
