I started with harmonica and acoustic guitar at about 9 years old. Learned 3 guitar chords from an in-law. Have been an amateur for many years, and still am. I did put some songs up on Distrokid (singles) and CDBaby has an 'album' as well as singles. There are a few videos on Rumble under 'cogbern' and 'The Real Cogbern'.Have you performed in front of an audience?Have played live in a 'church' environment. Sang in a mixed religious choir. Got tired of the boundaries-color within the lines, or get lost, you know what I mean?
Your musical influences
I have listened to everything from the 50s and 60s until now. Like classical, rock, latin, Americana the most. Get nostalgic for old Jefferson Airplane and Kristofferson songs.What equipment do you use?
Behringer UCA 202, Radial 'VocoLoco', ART compressor and Tube MP Studio, older Mac Mini computer. Have Auratone monitors, AKG headphones. I like the AT 2035 mic which I prefer for vocals. Have several Squier guitars, Rogue bass, Yamaha keyboard and a couple of cheap synths. Alesis 'Performance Pad' for drums. Don't expect no high end studio sounds here, only plain recorded original music.Anything else?
