Cofa Boy brings that lyrical energy to the scene of crunk music, which originated in the south, a fresh new sound to the scene of Hip Hop. His diversified lyrics and energy is guaranteed to satisfy any mood that you are in. So if the Dirty South is what is happening right now, the Dirty South is Cofa Boy.
Band/artist history
Tobias Cofer was born in 1982 in Atlanta, Georgia. Cofa was brought up on the southside of Atlanta in Carver Homes Projects, which is where he lived for 15 years before moving to Mechanicsville Projects in southwest Atlanta. Cofa Boy has proven to be one of the hottest, freshest, lyrical MC's to crank up the dirty south.
Being surrounded by drugs and violence in the community is what motivated Cofa Boy to Hip Hop. From elementary classroom stories to performing for his middle school to busting flows in the locker room before high school basketball games with former teammate Jarvis Hayes of the Washigton Wizards. Cofa Boy has been continuously committed to hip hop since his early childhood.
Cofa recently released "Cofa Boy da Atl Idol" mixed taped volume 1, hosted by DJ Killatone, to the streets of Atlanta. The streets embraced the mixed tape, and the lead single "Keep It Gangsta" with ravig reviews from some of the top DJ's and clubs in the Atl, Alabama, and Florida markets.
The mixed tape is a prelude to the much anticipated first album released titled "Da G.L.O.W" meaning Ghetto Life On Wax. With some of the top producers in the south such as: J Rock of Poe Boy Records, First Class Productions, and Big Ross of the On Deck Productions, and some of the hottest up-and-coming producers.
Cofa has been featured on tracks with 404 Soldiers, T-Rock of 3 6 Mafia, Georgia Black, and Big Ross's monster single "Ya'll Aint Ready". Cofa has also done modeling for Model Production Atlanta, Heads Magazine, and he was also featured in the movie "The Fighting Temptations".
Along with 7buildings Ent., his management team, Cofa keeps himself hot by doing shows from state to state, mix cds, and featuring with other up-and-coming artists.

Your musical influences
Tupac is a major influence because he bought great music and he kept it real. In so many ways, we are one in the same, because my music is visionary and I keep it real at all times.
