Claire Waddington
Hey. I'm Claire and I'm kinda just startin out really. I'm a solo artist, however I would love to sing in a band or somethin cos that would be awesome! I'm 16 years old, ummmmmm and Im currently on a training scheme with Big Help Management at Priderock Recording Studio which is based in Southam in Warwickshire (England). I started singing when I was about 5 and haven't stopped really!
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Well there's only one of me for a start and if you could have been bothered to read the bit about me, thats basically it!
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yep I do and I love it! I sing whenever I'm asked really. I've done loads of theatre shows and stuff and I sang at the opening of the International Children's Games in Coventry last summer. That was in front of 4000 people! I've also done many school assemblys :)
Your musical influences
I love 'old' rock especially Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, King Crimson, Focus, Eric Clapton, Alice Cooper, basically my Dad's whole LP collection! and I love Greenday, The Foofighters, Nirvana, Oasis, Guns 'n' Roses, White Stripes, Athlete etc. But the style that really suits my voice is a mixture of jazz, Country(shudder) and blues eg, Norah Jones/Katie Melua/KT Tunstell type stuff. So I'm a bit of an all rounder!
What equipment do you use?
My voice (obviously) and any equipment thats available really. I'm starting to get my own stuff now though.
Anything else?
I like cheese :)
