Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
It's funny seeing the word band counting that I am a single member. I have a small history to share with those who actually take the time to read an Artists profile. I began making beats in 2005 after joining a music class called the DJ Project at Horizons Unlimited on 17th and Potrero, here in San Francisco. I began with using the program Reasons. A very wonderful program that has created some of the most inspiring and popular beats today. I made my first beat and first song in that program called Move on. IN the class I was apart of a group of 4 guys and We were called the PANTHERS. The group consisted of Ice Man, JBoi, B-MOney, Swank Ra, and myself Freedom. In the month of October we did a performance for family and friends showing our work thus ending the program. I stopped making beats and doing music all together for I had to focus on school. In the year 2007 I was introduced to a program called Fruity Loops by my cousin. IN the beginning I really didn't tamper with it but as the school year ended and summer was afoot I began learning how to use the program more and more.
In the year 2008 I Began working with the demo version of the program so I was unable to save any of my unfinished beats. With that i once again gave up. Later on the year My cousin somehow got a hold of the full version and installed the program on my computer. I was grateful for his help for that allowed me to begin making beats again. In 2009 I begin learning more and more about the program from a friend I had been in a play with and with his teachings I was able to become an intermediate with the program. By 2010 I was making these wonderful pieces that I now share with you.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I do not play live only at work and around friends and family for it is hard times now. Being signed is not an easy task and Once Signed I will have to work extra hard on becoming a successful producer. But it is very rewarding seeing the smiles and head nods of those that do listen to my beats.
