For the very best in Classic Rock and Blues entertainment
Band/artist history
Circle of Nine originated in Wichita Falls, Texas in November of 2000. After a successful run of two years, we lost our bass player (military transfer) and our drummer (job relocation) and we were devastated. Music would never be the same again. There are only rare moments when you can find that exact musical chemistry that works for everyone in the band......this was one of those bands.
After relocating to Powderly, Texas, J.J. hooked up with a band named Blynd Eye. She soon introduced Debra to them and they decided to keep her. After a while and a few more band name changes, we got to thinking maybe we should just stick with family. Well, Andrew is Debra's son so he got the bass guitar spot....not just because he was family, but the guy can play!!! And then there was Butch, rhythm and some blues lead guitar player for the original Circle of Nine and Debra's big brother. He saw how much the music was starting to take shape and form and he felt the old music chemistry returning. So when we asked him to join the band, he brought back alot of the mojo that lived in Circle of Nine. Our lead guitar slot is now filled by Dru Robertson...yes, he is J.J.'s son!!! And he knows his business too!!!
So here we are, together at last. We thought we might call the band Mama's Boys, but that got vetoed by the guys. So we took a vote and decided to return to the name Circle of Nine. We've come full circle and we want to take the music past where we found it. The Classic Rock & Blues is hot, the entertainment is cool, and the fun is forever. Rock till you drop!!!
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We play live all over North Texas and southern Oklahoma. We love playing live, the bigger the crowd the more fun it is. Probably our crowning moment so far has been playing The North Texas Rock Rally July 2005
