Chuck Sylvester
This is the actual story of my life.
No other name given to men - That can heal and forgive and redeem you from sin - Those other things can't satisfy - Cause His presence is something that money cannot buy
This is the first song I wrote after I became a Christian in 1974.
Wrote and recorded this one in 1978. Fastest I ever wrote a song: 1/2 hour. Re-recoeded it in 2021 with improved recording equipment and beefed up the orchestral arrangement.
This is a live performance requested by my mom-in-law at the funeral of my wife's dad, Jim Donald, in November, 1998.
Mid-tempo worship song.
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. - 1 John 1:7 (NIV)
Wrote this song for my Linda for our 40th Anniversary in 2015.
Truly I say to you, unless you change and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven." - Jesus (Matthew 18:3)
Lots of hand percussion with a bit of a Latin/Rock Fusion vibe. Wrote the chorus in 1978. 25 years later did a major re-write adding three verses and here ya go.
A new setting of an old hymn. Words: Edward Mote / Music: William B. Bradbury (Public Domain)
Retro synth-based worship song
Bluesy-pop tune with a slide guitar. Special thanks to our buddy, Tim Sheehan for that great blues harp!
Jesus could return at any moment.
From Everlasting to Everlasting, You are God.
