My whole family has always been musically inclined. My mother was a choir director, organist and minister of music in the church. She always carried me along with her to weekly choir rehearsals where I proceeded to make church fans into drums sticks to beat on the pews with...lol That lead to me learning how to play the drums at the age of six. My love for both music and athletics has always been an internal tug of war. I tried a many of times to join the band in elementary and middle school and I always seemed to get kicked out for adding my own creativity to songs. I think this was when I said sports would be my ticket...lol I purchased a Roland DR 202 drum machine in 1999 while on football scholarship at the University of Cincinnati thanks to that good old pell grant money. From there I always knew I wanted to create music. My producer name evolved by way of my University of Cincinnati team mates calling me "Swolle" beats as a joke due to my muscular physique. The nickname eventually evolved into Chuck Diesel and it stuck. I began my musical journey beating on church pews because I loved it, and until this day that same love resonates in my production.
Dr. Dre, Timbaland, Jazzy Phae, Organized Noize, Pimp C, Ant Banks and the dangerous crew, Mannie Fresh, Beats by the Pound, DJ Battlecat, Drumma Boy and many more...
