Forty-2 Forty-2
A piece based off of a very small, leaping motif. Electronic elements meet with marimba, piano, and glockenspiel.
Blind Fate Blind Fate
Written as underscore for the Berklee Film Scoring Contest of the clip "Blind Fate".
The Breaking Point (M-Tech Remix) The Breaking Point (M-Tech Remix)
An electronic piece with some funk elements as well. Enjoy! This is a constantly tweaked and changing piece, so this is the current version 2.1. :)
Rapture Rapture
See a flicker of eyes. Catch that smile. Follow through the maze. Rapture.
The Taco Swing The Taco Swing
The Taco Swing, a Stan Kenton styled big band chart I wrote in 2002 (10 brass, 5 reeds, guitar, piano, bass, drumset). The recording is by the Dallas Area Youth Jazz Orchestra, directed by Jeff Smiley. Enjoy!

I am a student at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts pursuing a double major of Film Scoring and Music Synthesis. I have been writing music since I was a teenager and am constantly learning new tools, being inspired by new artists, and expanding my musical palette through the wealth of information I am learning at school and through my own practice. I love writing music and sound, so I don't merely hope that one day I find myself in the field of film audio, but I instead intend to push myself until that hope is realized. What equipment do you use?
I use a Powerbook G4 with Digital Performer, Reason 3, Kontakt, Pro-tools, and some other software synths for laptop stuff. I'm in the process of configuring a separate PC for running Gigastudio sampler. I also currently play the EVI, a wind-synthesizer that I am really enjoying. I play the Akai EVI1000 with it's accompanying sound module the EWV2000. My newest baby though is the Yamaha VL70-m physical modeling synth with the Patchman Music TURBO chip installed for realistic wind instrument emulation.Contact

Dear Chris,
I came to this site from the windcontroller list ... to listen to "The Taco Swing". I too thought it was brilliant. I noticed that it was recorded by the Dallas Area Youth Jazz Orchestra. My lad plays trombone in our Rochdale Youth Big Band, here in the U.K. and with your permission I'd like to see if they would like to play it .. can't guarantee anything though. If you fancy the idea please send me a Finale or better still a Sibelius file and I'll see what the music director says.
Keep up with the excellent work!
Best Regards,
David Howard
