I have just uploaded the complete version of the four movements of Beethoven's Hammerklavier Sonata, with its monumental final fugue, the whole thing has a duration of forty minutes and respects the metronome markings and dynamics indicated on the original score by the composer himself
I have undertaken a monumental task: to create a plausible version of the final movement of this Everest of piano literature.
As is fitting, I am adhering as closely as possible to Beethoven's tempo markings.
Therefore, I am against the modifications that allowed Liszt to play this piece, previously considered unplayable, by significantly slowing the tempo of the final great fugue.
Today, technical advancements have rendered this method obsolete.
Most modern performers now play it as it was written.
When it is finished, I will publish the complete movement, parts 1-4, as an updated MP3 (I hope it fits within the website's file size...).
