Chris Jay Becker

I'm Chris Jay Becker. I'm a singer-songwriter and guitar-thumper with the occasional foray into mandolin, blues harp, and slide guitar. My songs mix rock, country, folk, the blues, and gospel. You could call it Alternative Country, Acoustic Rock, or Roots Rock. Think John Mellencamp, Steve Earle, or acoustic Springsteen. I hope you like these songs. They're lo-fi acoustic demos, but I think they're pretty good songs.lke
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I've been writing songs since I was a child in the barrios of Los Angeles. I've played in gospel groups, bluegrass bands, blues groups, and even an odd rock band or two, but I've been a solo artist more often than not. I also write and produce Techno/Trance/House under the name DJ Blurry Guy. I also write southern gospel music, and am working on an Americana Gospel CD: "American Gospel."
