I'm Chris Jay Becker. I'm a singer-songwriter and guitar-thumper with the occasional foray into mandolin, blues harp, and slide guitar.
My songs mix rock, country, folk, the blues, and gospel. You could call it Alternative Country, Acoustic Rock, or Roots Rock.
Think John Mellencamp, Steve Earle, or acoustic Springsteen.
I hope you like these songs. They're lo-fi acoustic demos, but I think they're pretty good songs.lkeBand/artist history
I've been writing songs since I was a child in the barrios of Los Angeles.
I've played in gospel groups, bluegrass bands,
blues groups, and even an odd rock band or two,
but I've been a solo artist more often than not.
I also write and produce Techno/Trance/House under the name DJ Blurry Guy.
I also write southern gospel music, and am working on an Americana Gospel CD: "American Gospel."Have you performed in front of an audience?Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Hey, I'm glad I stopped in to visit with you and your music. The first thing that hit me was your influences... I share everyone of them. Your a great lyricist, for sure - I really like the structure of all of the songs I listened to. I liked "Thanks For Noticing" - Really sweet song... Great job. Thanks for posting them here for your fans to enjoy. See you around!Fantastic!
I hope that you receive your heart's desires!
God bless you!

Clever title 'I Don't Like Country' for a country song. Nice accoustic feel. Check out Randy's and my song 'There Must Be A Reason' and let me know what you think. Jan.All comments (4)

You really have that Towns Van Zant sound. "Sick of this town" my favorite.
