Chris Harragin
My name is Chris Harragin. I am a solo artist recording songs about my own life and observations of others. My music is highly influenced by the Indie/ Rock scene of the moment and past decade.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I have been playing guitar since I was 12 and songwriting since I was 16. I bought a home studio and layed down all my ideas. Since then I have recorded 4 albums of original material.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I haven't so much recently. I used to a bit in Birmingham when I was at uni. Absolutely loved it. The highlight had to be Pritchattsbury, an outdoor gig, fronting my old band.
Your musical influences
The 90's Britpop scene got me started. Then the recent revolution in singer songwriters and indie/rock bands. My favourite artists include; Oasis, Copldplay, Charlatans, Killers, Shed Seven, Muse, Embrace, Goo Goo Dolls, Tom McRae, Kula Shaker, Ben Folds, Doves, Matchbox Twenty, Ryan Adams, Semisonic, the list goes on...
