Christopher Michael Contreras, who records under the alias Chris Cash, is a Filipino-American recording artist and producer from Vallejo, California. He originally became known as Charizma, the youngest member of the underground hip hop group Ground basics, but also began to rise to stardom with the release of multiple solo mixtapes/albums that began to generate hype for his future career as a solo artist.
In 2009, Chris Cash signed a recording contract with Go Bigg Music Group. Cash rose to stardom with the release of the EP The Resurrection (2010), which spawned the smash single "Somebody Like Me" featuring Michelle Martinez, and moderate hit "A Toast". After the success of The Resurrection, Cash released multiple mixtapes and albums under the name “Young Chariz” including the street album “Leader Of The New School” and the collaborative album with Mike Dash E titled “The Funeral.” All the while Cash prepared to release his follow up album, It’s Curtains. The album was released on June 7, 2011, and has special appearances from Bay Area legends The Jacka, San Quinn and many more. His next released studio album titled True Story was released on July 31, 2012 and created quite a buzz in the U.S. and Canada and produced multiple smash singles, including "Dead End Job", “Rock The Party”, “Smackin’” and the epic song/music video "The Break Up".
Cash has also created a band named “Cash On Delivery” and is becoming more successful than ever at live shows/concerts. His high energy, smooth delivery, and undeniable stage presence makes for a great show you wouldn’t want to miss. In the near future, Cash is preparing for the launch of his official clothing line “Fly Status,” and the grand opening of his official multi-media recording/film studio.
