Chimneyfish
Chimneyfish was simply the name given to any group of musicians I can get together to play my songs. In the last couple of years I have teamed up with Jason Fieguth and formed a pretty good partnership.
I write radio-friendly Pop Rock most of the time but occasionally branch out a bit from that style.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Chimneyfish came into existence as a recording project in 2000 and built on from there.
Gigs have been intermittent since then and most of the time has been spent writing a really solide repetoire which is now in the slow proces of being recorded.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Occasionally. Play in a few Sydney Pubs where possible. I love playing live when I get the chance.
Your musical influences
Sting, Neil Finn and Paul Simon are my songwriting idols I guess. I am influenced by REM, U2, Crowded House, Coldplay, and Paul Kelly to name just a few more.
