Chill Factor-5
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
From the Limelight (NYC) to the Love Parade (Berlin) to Amsterdam, Rhythm Method have astounded audiences with their unique blend of spiritual psychedelic, fusion/funk, ethnotrance & ambient grooves. Veterans of the global love-ins, and techno rave circuit .Rhythm Method (brothers, Maurice, and Steve Oliver) have toured and recorded over the past 10 years spreading their vibe of unity and oneness. Influenced by the late 60's/early 70's psychedelic bands Like Santana, Pink Floyd, Soft Machine, Gong, Funkadelic and Jan Hammer, as well as, electronic composers Wendy Carlos, Eno, Robert Fripp, and Vangelis.
Rhythm Methods Steve and Maurice decided to forge new musical. Using the Spiritual as their guide and traditional / ethnic music as their base, these modern primitives are bridging the gap between live instrumentation and modern electronica.
Chill Factor-5, and Electronfarm are the next logical development for Maurice and company. I wanted to take the concept we had forged over many years of recording, and producing to a new level. We became so imitated that people started ripping off our name. Rhythm Methods were all over the net.
Electronfarm adds a sophisticated level of live interaction to the mix.
Chill Factor-5 is on the Jazzier tip with real improvised solos, smokey textures, and a mixture of urban [NYC] and world influences.
