Chief Rockaz Alternative Metal The Mission: Rock you like a rollercoaster ride! Heavy Rock & Roll mixed with filmmusic-like soundspheres, powerful and aggressive vocals carry melody and emotion. Pumping drums and bass well off the richter-scale build a rock-solid fundament for Mr. Schoski’s and Hendrik’s Les Paul leads and riffs. Modern alternative metal meets classic eighties rock. Spacy keys and loops off the sampler complete the trip to support Martin’s strong voice: rock-shouting and feel, metal and melody. Just Chief Rockaz.
Band/artist history
Martin Neubauer - vocals Schoski - lead guitar Hendrik J.K. - rythm guitar Ricolf Cross - bass Peter Adamowicz - drums Schoski und Peter came from the band "The Company" (Albums ‘Frozen by Heat’, Teichiku Records, Japan, 'Awaking Underdogs', SPV Germany) Hendrik came from "Hatedrive" Ricolf from "Vamp" (Album 'The Rich Don't Rock', Atlantic Records USA) Story: August 2003 three long-yeared friends Ricolf Cross, Schoski and Peter Adamowicz decide to form a band in Andernach, a small medieval town by the german river Rhine. Inspired by 80s epics like The Cult’s Sonic Temple, Ozzy’s Ultimate Sin or G&R’s Appetite For Destruction (just to name a few), but also by those band’s modern descendents Nickelback or Linkin Park they intend to write heavy guitar-orientated Rock&Roll songs and beef them up with recent sounds like synthloops, sound-fx and dramatic keys. They start writing songs in Ricolf’s studio ‘perle am rhein’, supported by Peter Meier van Esch on keyboard. March 2004 first vocalist A. Walter joins the group. Chief Rockaz release their first single ‘Minority’ in July. August 11th german major radio station ‘Das Ding’ plays ‘Minority’. One week later the song enters the listener’s charts at no. 2, followed by 7 weeks no. 1! Now it became time to turn the band into a really striking live-act. Hendrik J.K. from Cologne, who had just returned from a several months long trip through Norway completed the line-up as rythm-guitarrist in September 2004. Just in time, CR had their first live appearance September 4th! CR played numerous Gigs in 2005 until they had to split from their singer in July. It took until November 2005 to find 26 year old Mr. Charismatic Rockvoice himself, Martin Neubauer from a german city called Worms. The first Gig with Martin happened on Jan, 14th 2006. It showed a better unity among the band than ever before and turned into a big party with the audience. At the same time the band’s first video ‘Love (Can’t Fool Me)’ gets released. It features live band performance as well as a mystic story of a betrayed love with a surprising end. You can download a quicktime-player version under the band' homepage www.chiefrockaz.com for free. In February 2006 CR release their new Promo-EP ‘Blessing To Nightmare’, containing 6 songs with the strong voice of Martin Neubauer. Among them ‘Minority’, ‘Love (Can’t Fool Me)’ and the title track ‘Blessing To Nightmare’. Chief Rockaz’ plans for the future: release a LP CD on a record label and play live, play live, play live...
