Hi Friends after a few years away from producing music, I have re started writing goa/psytrance music. The new album is nearing completion but as always its a slow process. Check out the website for more info and vist the shop for more mp3 for sale.

CHI - A.D. History - Dave Young, Songwriter, Musician and Programmer/Engineer, has been involved in the music industry since 1987 now with many projects to his credit. EXP Project - he released the acclaimed 'Brainchaser' EP on Acid-Trance label Smitten Records,of which 'Submerged - EXP 8' featured on the 'Tranced Out and Dreaming' compilation on Ultimate/Planet Dog Records, while 'Brainchaser - EXP 16' was included on the landmark Acid Trance Compilation, "BITten". This was followed by another 12" recorded as Guidance, 'Destination'/'The Earth' on Inspiral Records, which set many trance-floors alight with it's accessible acidic grooves and featured in a number of Psychedelic DJ Top Ten playlists. November 1997 saw the UK release of his new project, CHI-A.D. with the "Virtual Spirit" album on Ganesha/Nova Tekk Gmbh, which received strong world-wide reaction by trancers, DJ's and the Dance Music press. One of "Virtual Spirit's more full-on tracks, the immensely powerful 'Astral Warrior' became a firm favourite in many trance DJ sets. Some of the albums less psychedelic moments did not go unnoticed, with the sublime 'Organic Forms' featuring on the German compilation, 'Psychedelic Demons'. The track 'Purity' which was originally intended as a 12" release (from the Virtual Spirit sessions), also found it's way onto a number of trance compilations by virtue of it's enormous crossover potential and was heavily featured on the successful 'Pulse 5' and 'RaveMission 12' compilations on NovaTekk. This potential was further enhanced by CHI-A.D.'s first 12" release on Transient Records, "Exit Eternity"/"Beyond the Singularity" (March '98) which received glowing reviews in the more mainstream dance oriented UK music press (Muzik, Ministry Of Sound Magazine). The track "Exit Eternity" has also featured on a number of compilations (Psychedelic Vibes Vol. 5, Tantrance 7, Another Taste of Transient & Mushroom Trance 2). September '98 saw the release of the 'Lifeforce E.P.' on Medium Records featuring a re-mixed version of 'Astral Warrior', 'Awakenings' and a live track 'After Ever'. CHI-A.D.'s highly accessible dance floor sound once again featured in more mainstream rave territory with 'Awakenings' appearing on 'Happy Rave 11' along with trance luminaries, Westbam and Cosmic Baby. The remix of Astral Warrior also found it's way onto The Chakra Blue, Goa Head 6 and Psychedelic Vibes Vol. 5 compilations. Other CHI-A.D. tracks have featured strongly on various compilations (in particular the track "Eye Am the I" on Transient Records "Dream Creation - Sound of Freedom" compilation & 'Destination Goa' Vol 6). 'Spirit' was released on Chaos Unlimited's 'Zep Tepi' compilation to rave reviews (Wax, Dream Creation, Mushroom magazine). I will add more upto date history soon thankyou for reading this. Played many live sets accross the big blue pill (the globe) , Nearly ready to play live once again to promote the new album. Do I like it? Can be very stressful but when you get it right like when you and the crowd connects , it can be amazing.
