Cheru Records is a new record label out of Tulsa Oklahoma that is producing some simple, but catchy dirty south style instrumentalsBand/artist history
Cheru had been toying around with music instruments since a very early age, but did not intend to make a career out of it until he moved to Mississippi.
In Mississippi every guy who wants to rap has a beat machine, software, or something to get his or her shine on. Cheru jumped on that train at the age of 16.
At the age of 17 Cheru had been living in the hilldale projects in west tupelo, and there he had got a deal with Spoonful Productionz out of Plantersville Mississippi (great label), but there wasn't enough studio time, and Cheru had a little girl, and a mother to feed with little money.
Cheru also grew up in Projects in north Tulsa Oklahoma (Mohawk Manor), and was on welfare for 15 years of his life with no car.
Cheru moved back to Tulsa to make something of himself, but he only working in a buffet scraping up money for rent, and bills on his own with his family back in Mississippi, and Chicago.
While working he wrote a 14 track CD, but it was messy, because he made it for the wrong reason which was money.
Now Cheru has taken out time to start a record label, but first he wants to give away some of his scrap beats to those who'd like to rap over them.Your musical influences
