Chen Sing
As a music director of Earth Productions Music Ministry since the year 2000, Chen Sing, or fondly known as Dr. Yap, and the ministry strive to bring the Gospel to the world through music. Having a burden for the Chinese community around the world, Chen Sing hopes to build a new chapter in Chinese Gospel music and continue to share the love of Jesus with the music God has given her.
Having produced several albums while she was in United States, Chen Sing continued to produce more gospel albums in Malaysia. When she came back to Malaysia in 2002, Chen Sing collaborated with South Yeak, a local music producer to produce the album Use Me, My Lord in 2003. The tracks include Use Me, My Lord, Praise You, My Heart, Your Hand, Ive Decided, Love You, I Come Before Your Throne, How Could I Repay and an English song, Let Me.
In 2004, Chen Sing released the next album, Starry Night. The tracks include Prayer, Walk With You, Come Before You, Starry Night, Stars Fallen Into Sea, Praise The Lord, Are You Willing and Four Seasons. Some of the best songs in this album are Walk With You and Prayer.
Chen Sing and the ministry team have been traveling throughout Malaysia churches as well as overseas missions such as in Hong Kong, China and Indonesia. In Malaysia alone, the team has traveled to more than 200 churches leading musical evangelism meetings and has led many souls to Christ. By Gods grace, Chen Sing and ministry aim to reach out to more overseas Chinese community around the world such as Singapore, Taiwan, United States, Australasia and Europe.
Producing her latest album, My Eyes recently, it was quite a challenge for Chen Sing who at the same time being a music director, a University Professor and is leading a campus ministry. Despite challenges, she admits that Gods grace is always sufficient and that He deserves all the glory.
The latest album contains music and lyrics that move hearts. The tracks include My Eyes, All the Earth, Heavens Gate, True Worship, Because You Love Me, Dawn and an English song, Wings of Love. The best song, "Wo De Yan Jing Yi Kai" literally "My Eyes Opened", expresses the thankfulness for Jesus because of what He has done in our lives, for being our Saviour. Ultimately, by knowing Jesus, the "eyes" of our hearts are opened, therefore we are not lost anymore and that we may find true joy and peace because of His amazing love.
During the recording of the album, Chen Sing was deeply touched by Gods words. South Yeak, the ministry and music producer as well as other staff who were present said, God is in our midst.
Indeed, Chen Sing has a voice that moves hearts. She has a great passion for music, and plays the piano, guitar and harp and has written hundreds of songs and previously produced several other albums include Sing to the Lord and Are You Willing? in the United States. Besides that, she has also authored the book You and Your Household Shall Be Saved.
