Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Cheeko Phil the early daze, reggae sound systems, i was what you would call a box boy which was some one before they could really be an actual sound man a person who had to lift very large speaker boxes amp cases wires cables (you got it a roadie) this was sound systems based in central and north London Tradition,Enforcer,Jahfrica then from box boy to sound man when you can select records mc on the microphone and one of the biggest fanfares is hit the effects switches and trip on every one getting of on it,i was just called Cheeko in those daze, then i became Cheeko mc of the Family Quest rap hip hop and lots of gigs then from there with my own studio i am now Cheeko Phil producing what ever moves me with what i have at the time
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I dabble with percusive instruments ,drum and atouch of bass, but mainly i'm a vocalist and lyrics writer and music producer
Your musical influences
Lovers rock reggea music,70s disco/funk, 80s hip hop,90s rave and millenium world and house fusion drum and bass what some folks might call new age(oid age new equipment)
What equipment do you use?
Heres some of what i use ,pen,paper,yamaha dx21 synth,akai 5000,roland sound canvas,accustic guitars cubase vst usual outboard comps fx units Makie vlz 24 and food food from my kitchen and my cellular on silent

I'm going to make a track called sound click the melting pot mix. may be i have already made a track called double 2 click (1997)it's out there in the world some where still being played ,anyway enjoy the show
