Charlie Wayne Morrill is one of the founding fathers of the 80s L.A. metal sound fronting bands Black Knight, Hawk as well as playing in various LA bands he was the guitar player for the "Bullet Boys" and played in bands with members of Poison,GNR,King Kobra and Keel. In 1995 Charlie Wayne packed up his guitars, songs and family and moved to Nashville, TN. he says, this is where some of the world's best musicians reside. Charlie formed the band "Charlie Wayne Band" and "Crawdad Creek" Charlie made "Crawdad Creek" a family affair by featuring his son Charlie Jr. on drums as well as his sister Kitty Wayne on vocals. Charlie Wayne & Crawdad Creek hit the Top 40 on radio charts with the single RAISED ON COUNTRY and another song titled HEAVENLY GRACE, which received substantial airplay. Charlie got back to his rock roots in 2000 with "CHARLIE WAYNE BAND" recording an album titled Scarecrow and later on a live album called "Unchained and Live" In 2003 Charlie recorded a solo album titled "This Train" that sold 500,000 copies in England alone. The year 2004 brought another effort from Charlie in the form of a band he put together called "THE TICKS" and they released an album appropriately titled "Infected". By the end of 2004 Charlie and his friend of many years Ron Keel (STEELER, KEEL, IRON HORSE) teamed up to form the duo "KEEL & WAYNE". The project was Charlie's brainchild, grown out of a desire to team up and combine talents with his old friend who also had a similar background and style. In 2005 "KEEL & WAYNE" toured across the USA playing KICK ASS music to sold-out venues. They also have a debut video "I Gave It All To You" that is getting lots of airplay on CMT. Charlie and Ron also formed another side project "THE ACOUSTIC OUTCASTS". The OUTCASTS featured Charlie and Ron plus Terry Ilous (XYZ), Kelly Keeling (BATON ROUGE, MICHEAL SCHENKER, and GEORGE LYNCH) and JK Northrup (XYZ, KING KOBRA) playing acoustic versions of their hits in a format that you have to see to believe! In late 2005 Charlie released "The Best of Charlie Wayne - The Metal Years 1985-2005" that drew great reviews in the US and Europe and features some "Hawk" songs. In Feb 2006 "Charlie Wayne & Friends - Meet The Posse" was released and in May of 2006 Charlie released a Live CD from a lost tape featuring his old band "THE TICKS" titled "Raw, Live & Infected" Charlie spent his spring and summer of 2006, 2007, and 2008 touring and playing guitar with the "BulletBoys", playing venues in the midwest and east coast as well as opening for the Poison/Cinderella Tour. In early June 2006 with his friend Ron Keel's recommendation, Charlie was invited to take Ron's place as the frontman for IronHorse so that Ron could devote more time to other projects. Charlie eagerly accepted the position and helped "IronHorse" take it to the next level.
