Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
"Praise Him with the harppraise Him with stringed instruments. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!" (Psalm 150: 3b, 4b, 6) The last thing I ever thought I would do was record my very own Christian album. Through this rollercoaster called life, I always struggled with what it was that God wanted me to become. While attending college, working in retail, and teaching martial arts I finally realized that God wanted me to minister to others through music. I was so blessed to be raised by a wonderful, musically talented, Christian family in the buckle of the Bible belt, northeastern Alabama. My father, who is a Southern Baptist pastor and my mother, led me to the saving power of Jesus Christ at the tender age of five. After living what most would consider a "good" life I realized that my life was lukewarm and that there is no good in me except Jesus Christ! I rededicated my life to Him at the age of seventeen and began to spiritually mature. I broke away from my shyness and began to sing in church with a praise and worship band that my brother and friend started. Soon after, my family relocated to beautiful Key West, Florida due to my father's pastoral ministry. It was there that writing Christian music became my love. Recording my music was something that I always wanted to do so I decided to record my music at Christian Recording Studio in Ft. Oglethorpe, Georgia. I would like to thank Jesus Christ for giving me the ability and desire to glorify His name through voice, guitar, and harmonica. I would also like to thank my friends and family for all of the support and inspiration they gave me for writing and recording my music. I would like to thank you daddy (Dr. Charles Owens) for giving me "in depth" teaching of the Word of God, you momma (Patricia) for all of your prayers, patience and display of God's love, you Amanda (sister) for sharing your musical talents to better my ministry, you Jessica (sister) for inspiring me to write certain songs, and you Harrel (brother) for giving me the direction, ideas, and rhythm for my songs. I would also like to thank Brennan Batey for his musical instruction. Finally, I would like to thank the Christian Recording Studio staff and the studio band for producing my first album. God used each and every one of you to enhance my ministry and strengthen my walk with Christ. May God bless you and continue to use you for His glory. For those of you that now own this CD, thank you so much for you support. I hope that somehow and someway God can use my music to bless and strengthen you. If you do not know Christ, knowing Him is as easy as A-B-C: A-Admit you are a sinner B-Believe in Jesus Christ C-Call on Him to be your Savior In His Grip, Charles L. Owens II Mark 10:27
