Yes, that's how I got my start. Since I play the piano, I would sing and play my songs at talent shows at school. Also from time to time, you can catch me singing wit the other musicians at "The Foundation" on 18th and Vine in Kansas City. One time I had just came from a white linen party and decided to go to the "Dation" and listen to some music afterwards. Playa was clean that night! Eventually I got up and sang a song. I had on a hat and this guy that worked there walked right up to my face. He said he thought I was someone more famous. I told him I was, I'm Charles-David!

I love ballads, and slow sensual songs. I love songs that give a message or tell a story. Music that takes you from your current state of reality and take you to your deepest dreams and fantasys. People that I idolize are artists who have integrity like Sam Cooke, and Donny Hathaway. People like Brian McKnight, Alicia Keys, John Legend. Man I just love good music. I even enjoy country believe it or not. Some of the best stories are told through country music and I like that.

I just wanna say that I want my music to impact people in their own special way. I want them to get their own interpretations from the songs I do. I consider myself very passonate, and I just want that to come across in my music. But I do like to kick now and then! Basically just expect the unexpected from me.God Bless!
