On September 24th, 1983, Akari M. Murray was born in Nassau, Bahamas. Akari M. Murray is the last of three siblings. Within growing up Akari was faced with multiple challenges and tribulations in his life. In the latter part of 2001 Akari gave his life to Christ and turned over a new leaf. Akari was more notorious for his lyrically deep poetry rather than being an emcee. In the summer of 2002 Akari formed a Rap trio called the Chariots of Fire. Solomon Evans that was his lyrical buddy from church and Solomon’s cousin Jason Strachan were the other two members of the group. Solomon Evans was born on December 17th, 1986 and also had struggles in his uprising. Solomon gave his life to Christ around the same time as Akari in the latter part of 2001. Jason Strachan was born on August 8th, 1987 and gave his life to Christ in the summer of 2002. Ever since the Chariots of Fire was formed they were a force to recon with and an inspiration to both young and old. Showing the community that there is still hope for this younger generation, especially the young men. Also exemplifying that you can stand up for Christ and do what’s right and still be successful despite a rough beginning.
