Chapsticknation
Formed Spring, 2004. Stick played his songs with cousin Mr. Chappell on the drums (pair named Chapstick). Met Dan, another singer/songwriter at an open mic. Between the two of us we had some great material and a shared love of improvisation.Have you performed in front of an audience?We have the most fun playing at home, and we try to have a weekly "show" and invite friends over. We've played one paying gig at the Auburn Ale House. It went great! Thanks to all the friends and family who came out and supported our efforts.
Your musical influences
Stick: brings some bilingual interests in, main singing influence is Caetano Veloso. Adds a touch of bossa nova rhythm whenever possible
Dan: brings a folk punk flavour to the group.
Cole: he's a phish-head. A wasted, jam-happy pleasure boy. And he's popular with the ladies.
